I first protyped Bernie’s Revenge back in 2019. I actually meant to use it for a work project, but it eventually evolved into my own. I had meant it to be a comprehensive article series on Twine, but I found myself writing it less and less. The last few months took all my energy to push it over “the hump”. I actually had a few more episodes planned, but I hate to say it: I’m out of gas.

That said, you received an entirely free series on Twine to get you started. There are other important topics out there, such as sound, images, and even reading the documentation. Thankfully, the internet has many talented creators to help you cross that bridge.

To learn more about Twine, see the Twine subreddit.

Good luck on your Twine journey!

About the featured images

The artwork featured in each article was Atari 2600 box art. That artwork shows all these wonderful worlds of adventures. Back in those days, you didn’t hire a graphics designer to make box art. You hired a painter. They really captured my imagination as a kid, and I hope you appreciate them as well.

As for this last image in this article, it reminds me of my dad. He introduced me Atari, interactive fiction, and worlds beyond worlds.

I miss you, Dad.
